  • Know the Document Control Procedures throughout and champion them.

  • Perform thorough Quality Checks. Quality Checks are key to ensure that only quality information is available to your teams.

  • Gain support from leaders. Sometimes it can be hard to implement new ways of doing things. Endorsement from the leaders will ease any resistance.

  • Find ways to make improvements. Every process has room for improvement. Set aside time on a regular basis to review your document control processes and procedures and find better ways of doing things.

  • Learn from others. You are in key project role with contacts to many stakeholders. Some may have more efficient ways of doing things. Build up a relationship with your stakeholders and learn from them.

The tips above are a good starting point for anyone starting out in their career. I wish I knew this 12 years ago! #documentcontroller #documentcontrolexpert #projectcontrols #projectmanagement #construction #womeninconstruction #womeninbusiness #informationmanagement #tuesdaytips
