Maintaining document systems

Efficient Document Control
We’ve implemented a lot of project software over the years. Different platforms. Different teams. Different project types. The system changes. The fundamentals don’t. If we had to narrow it down to three things that make implementation successful, it would be this: Processes backed up by procedures. Not just “this is how we think it works.” Clear, written, agreed procedures that people can refer back to. If it’s not documented, it won’t be consistent. Training — and then retraining....
