Adopting new software

Resistance to change is one of the main challenges we have faced when helping our clients adapt to work to ISO 19650-2 standard. Sometimes team members may resist adopting new processes and technologies, particularly when they are accustomed to working in a different way. We recommend the following tips to help overcome this challenge and to bring your team along on this change journey:

1. Communicate the benefits: Clearly communicate the benefits of the new technology and processes to the team. Explain how it will improve their work and make their job easier.

2. Training and support: Provide adequate training and support to help the team learn how to use the new technology and processes effectively. Offer ongoing support to address any questions or issues that may arise.

3. Lead by example: Lead by example and adopt the new technology and processes yourself. This will demonstrate to the team the importance of the changes and help encourage them to adopt it.

4. Identify champions: Identify champions within the team who are enthusiastic about the new technology and processes. These champions can help promote the new tools and processes to their colleagues and provide additional support.

5. Incentives: Consider offering incentives to encourage team members to adopt the new technology and processes.

6. Feedback and evaluation: Collect feedback from the team about their experience with the new technology and processes. Use this feedback to make improvements and address any concerns. Evaluate the effectiveness of the new tools and processes periodically to ensure they are delivering the desired benefits.

By following these steps, you can help your team adopt new technology and processes in construction more effectively and achieve greater success in your projects.
